Lisa Temple - Singer Profile

Guess who got to stand in for Ellen DeGeneres for three days? Lisa, that's who! Yes, she donned a super blonde wig and danced all around the set!!

Lisa followed a dream of performing Shakespeare and took a five-week Shakespeare Intensive with the Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum, followed by a Scene Study class and a Voice & Alexander class. Scansion...who knew??

Lisa produced her solo show, "My Mother's Yard", with her husband Rich Brunner, who also wrote it for her. They brought on Jan O'Connor to direct, and it turned out to be one of the best experiences of her life!

A native of Kansas, Lisa grew up singing at the piano, riding and showing her horses, playing sports, and adopting many cats and dogs. She then attended Kansas State University, where she earned her Master of Music degree in vocal performance. Lisa did time in Chicago where she earned her SAG card doing commercials and independent films. While there she studied acting with Jane Brody, four years studying Meisner with Dan LaMorte at Center Theater, and a one year intensive with Steven Ivcich.

Theatre credits include Nancy in Frozen , Gooch in Mame, Gabriel Angel of the Lord in Christmas Rush , Pamela in A Chance Meeting, Elaine in The Nature and Purpose of the Universe, Deborah in Sexual Perversity in Chicago, Cherie in Bus Stop and various characters in Kidworks Touring Theatre Co. TV credits include: Boston Public , Arrest & Trial, and Profiler . Film credits include: Halfway Decent with Ernie Hudson , d.O.C.k.e.D., Nights in Utopia, Angelic Deception, and Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer with Michael Rooker.

Lisa taught herself to knit while backstage at a show and loves giving scarves and hats as gifts. She and her husband Rich found two wonderful dogs in their neighborhood, and they have definitely become members of the family!
