Raised in America's heartland, the Kansas Great Plains, Monika Beal brings her small-town charm to the bustling metropolitan stage, studio, and concert hall as a versatile vocalist. She frequents the sunny Southern California classical scene with Long Beach Opera, Opera on Tap, and as a resident artist of Riverside Lyric Opera. Monika extends her stylistic range by serenading with the Andrews-Sisters-inspired vocal jazz trio, the Los Angeles Muses; a group she co-founded in 2006 while attending USC's Thornton School of Music, with fellow alumnae Natalie S. Moran and Baraka May Williams.
Around Los Angeles, New York, and London her work is heard in the spooky and quirky music of composer Chris Thomas, for each city's local Halloween Haunts. In Cologne, Germany, she brought to life the Old West inspired words of local artist Stephanie Taylor, as the featured singer in her “Piston Toggle” exhibit, September through November 2013. Also in 2013, she joined the nationally acclaimed Caroling Company, and the exclusive Nové Deypalan Singers ensemble.
